Well, that went as well as could be expected. Did scrap the last two scenes (TWO?!) and rewrote both with different characters in different settings, but I do think it’s better. It means Chapter 2 gets to start fresh, and has some plot legs to run on. Notably, the Scrap Draft is now longer than the novel, but that’s how I roll in early chapters, it seems. Still, progress–even backtracking from a dead end and finding a better path is progress, right?–is progress, and I’ll take it for tonight. Tomorrow, we’ll see…
(P.S.- No, you didn’t miss two days! I’m just keeping to the calendar days, though I rarely get any work done on the weekends, so there likely won’t be update posts then.)
