Okay, seriously, am I insane for thinking “unintrusive” is a real word? I swear I’ve heard it in conversation any number of times, and I’m certain I’ve read it before, so it’s driving me mad that I can’t find any proof of it on any dictionary site (even though dictionary.com refers to it as a “related” word…that just links back to intrusive…) RAWR!
Regardless, I told Word to leave it the frick alone and add it to the dictionary for now, because I JUST CANNOT. However, the section clipped along nicely and actually felt fairly solid, so that brings Chapter 2 to an end, which feels pretty damn awesome. At some point, I do need to do a quick read-over of 1 and 2 and retype from scratch just to give it a nice, move-foward smooth-over and catch any of the little things I need to catch, but overall, I’m pleased. And I’m feeling at least a wee-bit confident that the story is going to continue accelerating for a bit (at least until I hit Act 2, and then…neeeeah…I have no idea…)
