Salvaged a bit of the scrapped scene, though did some proper reduction work on it in the process, which seems to have helped in the new version. It clips along faster, keeps on track, and introduces some lovely mysteriousness at the end which the previous scene was missing. Should lead in nicely to the next sequence. About 300 or so of the “new words” tonight are reworked old words, but still made good progress. If I were feeling better, I’d push on into the next scene, but I’ve got a splitting headache and the sinuses are all backed up, and I really, really, really just want this cold to get over itself already, because I’m tired of running at 50%. BUH! But work accomplished, which isn’t nothing.
