And we’re back, ladies and gentlemen! A whole week away was crazy, but given how busy this last week has been, necessary. Sometimes life happens, am I right?
I was a little worried about tonight, afraid that after so long away from the text, I’d be rusty and terrified, but the truth is, it went crazy smooth. I do think there’s something to be said about putting space between each chapter and letting the subconscious play with it without interference. That, I think, is one of the reasons I so enjoyed writing the FF: I was always eager to get back to it, and that energy totally comes through with each chapter. Ideally, I’d spend a week or two away from the story, then sit down on a single day and bang out 6-10k of a chapter, but until I’ve got more mental space to do that, I’m going to have to wait to test that theory. Would be interesting, though, wouldn’t it?
Still, glad to be back. Here’s to wrapping this baby up for good by the 30th!
