WOOOOO~! Oh man, oh man, oh man. Tonight was one of those nights that just…grooves. I don’t know quite how else to describe it: the words were there. The muses were smiling. The creative source of all sources was generous and kind.

It’s rare enough for things to flow so effortlessly (and that’s not to say they’re guaranteed to be good words), that this is an amazing high. This is why I write, peeps. Through the bad days, through the days when writing is the absolutely last thing I want to do, through the days when I scrap days, weeks, or months worth of prior work. I write for this elusive, dilerium-inducing high when characters come alive and the words that come out of their mouths are entirely theirs, when I fade into the backdrop amid their reality and become merely a tenuous filament conducting their energy.

MAN, I love days like this!
