This week’s flash story is really more of a vignette probably, but I was trying a few different things. One, I was playing around with iambic pentameter (no promises I got any of my attempts right–there’s really only one that was deliberate). Two: I used another Writer’s Emergency Pack cue card, which this week was #17-Magnify, suggesting a deep dive at some small moment, emotion, or detail. Three: this was the inspiration card I had to work with:
