Love Me to the Bone
Draft 1
Words Added: 1,457
What Happened in the Story: Madeline journals about how to spend the next 346 days of her little requiem in the city, and makes a plan of action. She attends Irene’s nightly soiree and chats with some new people. She asks Irene about teaching her about writing, but Irene lightly brushes it off, and Madeline, discouraged, goes back to her apartment.
Additional Notes: UUUUUUUUGH. Writing has been so hard lately. I don’t know what it is, whether it’s the time of year, or that my schedule is just a little bit wonky (exercise classes shift a lot, it seems, which my brain DOES NOT LIKE), or that I’ve felt a chunk of pressure to get the Placebo Emporium stuff ready to go by end of November, or just the disruption of extra days off school for the boys, but MAN. It’s the getting into the office and the getting started. I need to really knuckle down, but the inertia to overcome just feels…wow. Really tough lately. I haven’t even been tracking things in my writing planner all that well (thankfully, I *am* keeping up here!).
I’m setting super small goals in the hopes of getting back into the flow of things, and trying to determine more regular hours to BE AT THE OFFICE WORKING. I don’t know why this is so hard, because now I’ve got so much more time to work (LOL, probably that’s the reason–easier to get wishy-washy on the schedule and let things slide. UGH.). Anyway, here’s to a week of more regular productivity.
Thanks for following along, and I hope you enjoy the ride! I’ll try and make these daily updates (on writing days), but I’ll probably miss a few now and then. Sorry about that in advance, but I’ll do my best to be consistent. If you’re craving some personal stakes in this process, feel free to toss me a “You Can Do It!” donation at my Ko-fi shop! I’m going to need a lot of coffee for this…
