Apex Magazine, Journal, Writing

Zoning…

Figured I’d write today’s entry a little earlier than usual, since I’m not anticipating a whole lot happening in the next few hours. The big news: Andy got through his first day of cadaver work. Woo! He’s handling it a lot better than I would, I think. Still, he didn’t sleep very well last night, so we’re going to try to do the pre-sleep yoga stuff I’ve got one one DVD to try and sooth the mind before bed.

Other than that, it’s been a rather cold, damp day. Got some Apex posting stuff done on MySpace, as well as recieved notice that Absinthe’s Gloomy Sunday review is up for CATACOMBS AND PHOTOGRAPHS! Check it out here.

Put together the little tide-me-over vacuum, too, but haven’t used it yet. Planning to vacuum and mop down the floors today. With all this rain, tracking in mud is far too easy.

Also a little bummed that for some reason Netflix only just got our three DVDs we sent in. Feels like we put those in the mail ages ago, but oh well. Maybe we’ll have something to watch tomorrow.

Writing Stuff

Oh, boy, is this depressing or what? I’ve been admiring the word-counters on various author pages of late, thinking (in my procrastination-type way) “Hey, wouldn’t that be cool to put on the blog?!” Unfortunately, I then realize that I don’t even have any manuscripts I’d word count. O_< Ouch. I mean, the one I’m working on doesn’t have a word estimate just yet, since I’m just goofing around with it, and the novel is stalled, though I’m hoping to pick it up soon, so… what is there to count?

Man, it’s a depressing thought.

On the plus side, I managed to exceed–yet again–my required word count for the day. Maybe I could put a counter on for how much I want to get done and how much I do? Hmm… maybe. But it’s probably better if I don’t. Not even sure I could get it to work.

LET’S TRY IT!
