There. I said it. I’m not going to lie. I’ve been dying to get a furry friend for this apartment, to the point that I don’t even care if it means not getting a couch for another month. I want a kitty. A sweet little (or not so little) ball of fur who I can dote on. We’re currently leaning toward an adult cat, me thinks, rather than a teen/kitten, but it’ll kind of depend on who we fall in love with tomorrow. THAT’S RIGHT. We’re gonna go see the kitties tomorrow! XD! Love.
Week went well. I’m beat, but not as exhausted as I was last week. I’ve also learned some nifty hunting terms. ^_^ lol
Writing Stuff:
I totally kept up with the writing this week. I’m so proud of myself! ^_^ Zero Draft is coming along well, though the last two days I’ve been distracted with a new short-story project, which taps into my love of being wordy and my love of “abroad” stories–in which the MC is a tourist in another country. For this tale, tentatively titled “Geiststrasse”, the setting is in and around Meiringen, Switzerland. For those of you who have been following this blaag for a while, you will recognize this as the location where Andy and I honeymooned this summer, *and* where I visited back in 2000. I’m utilizing my insane 20,000+ travel journal and the accompanying photos to build up the locale in the story (which, as you may have guessed from the title, is a ghost story–“geist” is ghost in German, “strasse” is street or road). It’ll probably be too long to sell, and ghost stories in general seem to be hard to place in this market, but I’m not worrying about it now. I’m just doing my best to “write what I know.” To help set the mood, I’ll be posting SWISS TRAVELOGUE SNEAK PEEK #3 sometime this weekend.

Still on par with the writing goals. If I finish “Geiststrasse” (which I’m planning to), then I’ll have my four new stories for the year. The Zero Draft is well over half finished, so we’re making excellent progress on that.

Also, I think I’ll be able to finish Mistborn this weekend. I’m pretty much in the middle of the climax, and I think there’s only 20 something pages left. ^_^
JEALOUS!
