Today’s been a thinking day, and that’s fine with me. In fact, earlier in the day, I had the opportunity (a rare toddler nap!) to brainstorm earlier than I expected, but I decided to wait until this evening when I would be uninterrupted and be able to fully indulge in the process. I’m glad I did, because I do think the story’s going to have a thick infusion of fun pretty soon, and I’m having way too much fun really thinking through what comes next. I’m still not quite done (though I ended up with almost 1,500 words of brain-dump), and have worked out some minor plotting kinks, clarified where I want to go with this, and just need to think about how to best intertwine the two storylines in an exciting and smooth way. Will spend some time thinking on this over the weekend. But at least I’ve got something to focus the writing on come Monday, if nothing else.
