Pre-writing notes: I wish I had some space to myself. Someplace that doesn’t require scraping hardened food spots off before sitting down to work. Just a little space, all my own, somewhat apart from the daily race. I don’t want to work tonight. I finished on such a final note last Friday, that it’s hard to find a toehold for the new chapter. Just have to start moving things along, get myself up to speed. Just…overwhelmed by ennui tonight.

Made okay progress, though still getting my shoulders into this new chapter. I’ve got a chunk later I can probably almost wholesale steal back from the original version, but I’m not there just yet. May need to comb over this past section a little tomorrow to add in a few things I missed tonight. That’s one thing I’d really like to implement in some Future Dream Writing Routine: time to completely go over yesterday’s work and add or rework as needed, completely separate from the day’s new word-count requirements. It’s more putzing work, tweaking this, adding that, fleshing out, parring back: that kind of thing. And it’s a good way to wrap my head around what needs to happen in the next segment. Ah well, someday!
