Day 111: Think, Think, Think…

In Which Our Author Spends Her Evening Lost in Thought & Plot Points

Project Title: The Mistress of Frosthaven
Genre: YA – Dark Fantasy
Words Today: 0
Running Total: 71,555
Scrap Draft: (V1.0 = 31,142), V2.0 = 12,478

No official new words tonight, though I spent over an hour detailing in some 1k+ words everything that needs to happen between NOW and the finale. I’ve realized that expecting myself to get any quiet, devoted thinking time during the day is unrealistic, which means I have to sometimes step back from the word-count and get the thinking part done ahead of time. In some magical future, maybe I won’t have to choose between time to think and time to write, but since it’s not then, I’ll do it as I must.

But…it actually looks doable. And in reach. There are quite a few words left, but I feel the quickening: this draft is ready to be born already, and it’s not waiting. We’re in creative Transition, folks. It’s all going fast now. I just need to hold on to the end.
